After failing another interview, desperate graduate David Austin signs up for a mysterious online game show, unaware he is about to sign up for a sadistic game of life and death, led by the sadistic Gamemaster and his trusted sidekick, the Engineer. Against all odds, David manages to survive, but the audience calls for his death anyway. However, believing in fair play above all else, the Gamemaster intervenes and saves his life, allowing him to leave with the money. Now armed with a newfound confidence, David returns to that original job and re-interviews, finally getting it.
