Against the bleak backdrop of a devastating famine, a skeptical young city slicker named Surendra returns to his rural village with a bizarre business proposition: he will pay a handsome reward to anyone who can capture a living ghost. Driven by absolute desperation, the impoverished locals launch into a series of frantic, orchestrated supernatural hoaxes to claim the prize money.
