Cultural differences and racial boundaries collide in this powerful story of love between an Arabic Muslim man and an African-American Christian girl who strive to defy the odds. Facing disapproval from within their families and without, Shawn and Crystal must resolutely endure the hatred and bigotry that surrounds their romance in this Detroit-based drama of modern-day prejudice among minority groups.
